Questions
About Estate Entrance Security System
What is an estate visitor management system?
Software that tells the gate who is expected. Residents register their visitors in advance, usually with a code, and guards check each visitor against it instead of phoning the house. Every entry is recorded, so the estate keeps a log it can rely on.
How do visitor access codes work?
A resident creates a short code for a visitor and sends it by message. At the gate, the visitor gives the code and the guard checks it. If it's valid for that house and that time, the visitor goes in, and the entry is logged.
Is a visitor code system better than a gate logbook?
For most estates, yes: it's quicker at the gate, residents don't have to answer calls, and the record can be searched. It does need a plan for power cuts and network outages, which a paper logbook doesn't.
